Wolfman featuring Peter Doherty - 'For Lovers' (Rough Trade)

The renascence of young Mr Doherty has provided cause for celebration not only at rockfeedback, but amongst music-lovers everywhere. Neither Pete nor day-job employers The Libertines have prod a particularly straightforward path over the last year or so, thus it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that we now find him providing luxuriant vocals on a Coldplay-esque ballad, as masterminded by mysterious decadent chum Wolfman.
A grimly knowing b-side returns to conventionally ramshackle 'Tines territory, but 'For Lovers' is pure, aching class.
