Essentially 'Debaser's impudent kid brother, the now-commonplace Pixies references that permeate Stellastarr* reviews aren't likely to go away any time
soon.
With shouty male/dulcet female vocal exchanges, gleefully unhinged lyrics and guitars that rock like muthas failing to overshadow a real pop sensibility, the debt to Frank Black and chums all remain firmly intact on the band's re-release of 'Somewhere Across Forever'. Currently one of rock's better-kept secrets, Stellastarr* aren't likely to remain that way for too much longer.
