Lucky Jim - 'You're Lovely To Me' (Skint)

Deceptive, this one. Both the title-track and b-side 'Sun'll Rise' are excessively earnest and - consequently - rather slightly dull, David Gray-ish acousticisms, the kind of thing that fills the obligatory 'Acoustic Tent' slot on the Beeb's Glastonbury coverage in the small wee hours of the morning.
'Twenty Four Miles', however, is an altogether brisker, darker affair - a kind of indie take on the theme-tune from 'The Good, The Bad And The Ugly'; certainly the best thing here.
