Hell Is For Heroes - 'One Of Us' (Captains Of Industry)
4/5
By: Matt Tomiak
Following the grand British major label tradition of impatience and staggering short-sightedness when faced with promising young bands who haven't conquered the planet within six months, Hell is For Heroes - makers of
one of last year's most auspicious UK debut albums - have been dropped.
Still, that hasn't stopped the London fivesome from returning from a brief
period of convalesce with anything less commanding, melodic zeal than they
demonstrated on 'The Neon Handshake'. 'One of Us' is blink-and-you'll-miss-it
brisk (clocking in at just over two and a half minutes), no-nonsense, brusque, fervid emo. Discerning listeners will get it, even if the record company bigwigs don't.
