Yourcodenameis:milo - 'Schteeve' (Fiction)
4/5
By: Toby L
Further well-versed, chunky rock noisecraft from the Milo - and this time they go for the yearning, Jane's Addiction vocal thang, while an intrinsic, pissed-off storm of drums and bass cascade psychedelically over the top.
Quite favourably, it's way more than we anticipated at this stage from the arch, Newcastle warlords of angst-mess. In 'Schteeve', Yourcodenameis:milo slow down, really sing and create the sort of stadium-soaring epicness that has kept us enthralled to Radiohead for so many years. Then, even when it begins to start making a racket, we're only too welcoming to accommodate for the bludgeoning onslaught. A devastatingly intense outing from a band who, to ignore, would probably give you a right, sensitive hiding. While crying for your sins, obviously.
