They've always been the ameliorative in punk-pop, even though they're not the fore-runners. And there is no shame in enjoying something as tightly managed as this... everything is perfectly in place.
Fittingly, you want to when they shout; the melodies catch you first time through; and every time thereafter jerk your vocal-chords to join in. Imaginary six-strings purposefully hover at your fingertips before every chorus and mock guitar solo. Only a fool would refrain from such enjoyment, unless you're concerned about looking cool when you go out. Bon Jovi on punk-pop steroids. In a really good way, somehow.
