The Concretes return in flurrying, festive fare with the limited-edition 'Warm Night EP', just in time for the holidays. Yes.
Few others would be more apt. An octet intent on producing the most salubrious and darned, pretty odes possible, the title-track remains woozy and saccharine sweet, to-ing and fro-ing with lullaby backing-harmonies and a chorus of strings, while new songs 'Lady December' and 'The Warrior' are lite-country trips more prone to The Delgados' camp.
And with re-recorded album highlight 'Seems Fine' in tow, there's little incentive more to indulge in stacking up the 'Retes' royalties. Your Xmas would be lonely and cold without it.
