They ushered in their last album with the quite glorious 'The Dark Is
Rising'. And although the taster single from Mercury Rev's imminent 'The Secret Migration' album doesn't quite scale those dizzy heights it does mark a welcome return from American indie's favourite weird uncles.
Thunderous, Jesus And Mary Chain-isms boom along imperially whilst Jonathan Donahue's lyrics skip through some improbably idealised elysian fields, and we feel all the more freshened for it.
