Frivolous kiddy-punk from Nashville, Be Your Own Pet muster rambling, extortionately exhaustive knees-up rock riffage, unleashed with an underlying Young Heart Attack-esque twee that retains their innocence.
The sound of teenage years, with some fantastical drum-fervour and - in the case of 'Spill' - The Ramones being played backwards by a coked-up Sonic Youth. Come the whirlwind tourettes assault of a profanity-strewn 'Electric Shake', we're unanimous over one thing at least; Be Your Own Pet: fun, but ultimately knackering.
