At last a worthy dip into the top-40 pool for the Manc whimsy dynamos, I Am Kloot. 'Over My Shoulder', favourably, isn't a cover of Mike & The Mechanics - it's instead a drippingly intimate forage of sliding guitars, low-key despair and humble acceptance.
A drinking ode, we join the Kloot in a bar, and in question of just who's really listening. It'd be a bit much if it weren't so humbly executed, the sort of BDB starkness that band-chum Damon Gough often employs, but with the direct, classic songwriting embrace Gough hasn't perhaps mustered in some years.
