You know you're in good stead when croaky, former junkie Bob Dylan covers you and shoves up the recorded result on his official website.
Marc Carroll, then, resides on the overtly earnest, storytelling end of things, and crafts - in 'A Way Back Out Of Here' - a gravelly and strings-drenched piece of desolate optimism that wouldn't be out of place in a 'Desert Island Discs' selection from some old codger like Wogan. But, homely and slight, there's little to detract from it.
