Gross it is to state, yet it seems Damon Albarn can do no wrong. Whether slamming America's foreign policy, saving Africa, or securing a number one album with a super-group that doesn't really exist, Gorillaz, this one-man dynamo of activity goes from strength to strength in a whirlwind of musical reinvention while Oasis stagnate in the studio.
'Dare', featuring Shaun Ryder, demonstrates what brought Gorillaz to the public eye in the first place - not the novelty value of cartoons creating choons in 'Kong Studios' but signature synths, haunting vocal hooks and an infectious bass line unseen in any other band, real or fictional. Monkey business has never been so successful.
