So long as there are girls in the world there will be subject matter for songs, the only condition being that these ladies must have names that sound suitably sexy to use in a chorus. The Ermintrudes and Marmaloyds of this world struck a bum deal. 'Sandy' will do nicely.
Y'know, it's been a while since something as unashamedly merry as this has been given an airing on speakers around these parts. Fun, uncomplicated little tunes about girls are actually pretty great, aren't they? This one is. The chorus is killer, the delivery fervent and crucially, it's just that little bit sad.
It's not important and it'll change nothing. It might even make things worse - it's a wallow at the expense of a female, setting back that long awaited masculinity movement by another three minutes and eleven seconds. But it does it all to a great little tune. And that's just fine.
