Is there a secret formula, whereby any song containing the word 'dance' at an advantageous position in its chorus automatically makes you want to do so? ('Let's Dance', 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor...). Probably not, but 'Recover' would make a worthy addition to any list of examples.
New Order bass lines fall in with the shout/sing vocals and a military precision backbeat to initiate the moving of the floor during the verses... followed swiftly by the screaming and slightly inane chorus: "Stand up, recover, 'cos you'll never dance again". No, it doesn't make any sense at all, but when faced with such an anthem of such potential, does it really need to?
