Somebody wants to be Gwen. And Gwen should be worried, because they're doing a damn good job of it... Stefani's seemed pretty tame of late, whilst 'Galang' is unashamed, possessing no doubt of its smutty rhythms, slutty vocals and grimy bass warbles.
For the most part it's fairly meaningless street-slang dressed up in a pretty pop package. With a little extra effort it could be clever, but we might be missing the point. And that point is? Well, to dance to this grungey slice of catchy pop music until someone releases something that can take our attention away. And maybe to say 'galangalangalanga' with serious looks on our faces, cos we're so street.
