Morrissey - You Have Killed Me (Attack)
4/5

He asked what it was like, the lad in earshot, when I told him I'd heard the new Morrissey single today. "Well, a cracking tune with some pretty verbose lyrics, basically", I told him. "Great, then!" was the reply.
Too right. What more one could want from a Morrissey record these days, bar the unrealistic reappearance of a certain Mr. Marr, isn't clear. 'You Have Killed Me' ticks all the boxes - a killer hook, mysterious talk of Steven Patrick's sex life ("I entered nothing, and nothing entered me..."), and most importantly, signals our hero's return. You get the feeling that everyone's in for it this time.
More power to you , Morrissey. Take them all on, you being one of the few everyone will listen to. Play this over, play it loud, and given my family's dark sense of humour, play it at my funeral. Altogether now...
"You have killed me, you haaave killed me..."
