Humanzi sound like decent blokes. Television, mass media culture, the all powerful ultra-dominance of the unknown force called 'The Man' - they rile against it all. And so do I, when I have the time (yeah, exactly). We'd get on, as fellas. But something about the actual song rings a little hollow.
Is it a call to revolution or just a strop? Regardless, "this is the shit, so get used to it... this is the shit you've got to live with..." might read like a decent slogan, but whilst the sentiment is one you can side with, the guitar sludge of 'Diet Pills & Magazines' fails to actually deliver anything like a tune, and as such you'll never find yourself joining in with its call to arms.
The Man sits back, stroking his beard, untroubled.
