The Bronx - History's Stranglers (Wichita)

LA four-piece The Bronx here deliver three minutes of decidedly cheeseball metal, and for a band whose other song titles consist of the likes of 'Shitty Future' and 'Heart Attack American', it's no surprise new single 'History's Stranglers' gives a full on nod (or headbang) to Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath, or just about any other of the 80s rockers still out there.
Sounding like he's smoked a hundred fags a day since he was five, Matt Caughthran's hollering of the, ahem, subtle chorus 'Motherf**ker I want your blooooood!' is like sandpaper to the eardrums, while elsewhere you can practically hear the veins in his neck pulsating under the strain, all over the top of a thrashing metal riff. One that the skater kids will love to kick the crap out of each other to, no doubt.
