Having toured with The Paddingtons and The Futureheads, The Enemy release this limited 7" in the hope of entering the same bracket as these established purveyors of Brit Pop mark two.
'40 Days & 40 Nights' is a raucous affair from the off, and it's clear that their influences stretch back all of, say, 14 months. Sounding like a super (average) group consisting of Milburn, Little Man Tate and... well, you get the picture, it's not actually that bad a tune, and will probably go down well at indie clubs up and down the land.
Unfortunately for them and us however it's a case of been there, heard that, didn't buy the t-shirt first time around, and so, why would I want to buy it now?
