The View - Same Jeans (Columbia)

I never had The View down as being a bunch of posh boys, but lord almighty, you wear the same jeans for four days and feel the need to tell everyone about it? I mean, I bet even the Keane chaps get a good week's wear from their Saville Row pleated slacks before they start to think about getting the maid to wash them.
But anyway, I digress. The song? Well, it's another of 'those' really, the kind of tune that'll get the chavs and the scenesters mixing in perfect harmony, whilst the more discerning music lover will sit at the side pondering what is becoming an increasingly relevant question; are The View actually any good?
In truth it's a difficult question to answer. What is certain is that they are filling a hole left by The Libertines, and to be fair they are filling it well. Like their two previous singles, 'Same Jeans' is undoubtedly a catchy little number, and should ensure they continue to grace the pages of NME for a few more months at least. The fact that they seem to be lacking a bit of substance, much like a vegetarian salad, is a tad worrying.
