Little Man Tate - Sexy In Latin (V2)
2/5

There seem to be a lot of people at the moment who are jumping on a kind of anti Arctic Monkeys bandwagon, a bandwagon that is also in many cases doubling as Little Man Tate fanclub transportation (after all, Arctic Monkeys are soooo 2006, mate).
But how, I ask, how, can people prefer this? I mean yes, it's got a few hooks, it has the right balance of tunes and laddish-ness that'll get the lager-louts down to their gigs, and it's tale is told with lyrics that most young people of today can probably relate to. But is that enough?
Evidently it is. Even Jarvis Cocker's attempt at mocking them had no effect on the hoards of youngsters snapping up their tickets. If I'm honest, I suppose that list above does speak for itself. It's understandable why people are ingratiated by it, and besides, there's been no evidence that these lads are anything other than nice blokes. But it's just so difficult to get excited by it. But alas, if Sir Cocker can't make people see the light, what chance have I got?
