Rosemary - If I Had My Way (Split)

It's difficult to know what to make of Rosemary. On the one hand they make the kind of music that is relatively forgettable in the grand scheme of things, you know the sort of ten-a-penny jangly pop I'm talking about; add this to the fact that they possess perhaps the worst name in the business (step aside, Keith) and you have a recipe for indie disaster.
But on the other hand, they are really very enjoyable, albeit for only a few minutes, but who's counting? 'If I Had My Way' is driven along like a rickety racing car by a tune that conjures up an immovable image of the Kaiser Chiefs, Ripchord and The Rakes perched atop a pyramid all walking like an Egyptian, as that classically shit Bangles song goes.
Like I said, its throwaway stuff, but like the disposable contact lens, a lot of people are going to enjoy the benefits it has to offer, if only for a short time.
