If you are called Fanfarlo and you have a track called 'You Are One Of The Few Outsiders Who Really Understands Us', you are, it's fair to say, unlikely to be a death metal band. You are, in all probability, going to be so twee and whimsically indie that you will make Gorky's Zygotic Mynci sound like Slayer.
And so it proves with this Swedish/London sextet- but their glistening, Boo Radleys-meets-Gruff Rhys joie de vivre (that also reminds this writer of the neglected-but-joyous pop stylings of late 90s Liverpudlian troupe Ooberman and tuneful Oxford chaps Goldrush) is really rather delightful.
