Arcade Fire - Intervention (Merge)

It seems like the tidal wave of adoration that has been sweeping in the Arcade Fire's direction since 'Funeral' was unleashed on the world has begun to turn lately. Whilst most sane human beings are in agreement that 'Neon Bible' was equal to if not greater than said debut, you just can't please some people.
However, we can be confident that all the naysayers that emerge from the woodwork every time a band begins to garner some well earned popularity will once again be shown to be foolish, as 'Intervention' is one of the best songs Arcade Fire have written. A monolithic concoction of organs, heart-felt lyrics, and a driving crescendo reaching rhythm that somehow manages to bring about a certain clarity of vision with the world. If ever there was a band that bypassed any amount of opinion and subjectivity and existed simply as objectively, factually, actually, whatever you want to call it, damn good, Arcade Fire are that band. This Intervention is divine, fact.
