Lucy and the Caterpillar - Kings Cross (Alcopop)

4/5

By: Sofie Jenkinson

Lucy and the Caterpillar - Kings CrossLucy - a cute bug eyed faced peering out from beneath a shock of blonde pixie hair, dressed up in her mother's shoes, would not be out of place somewhere around the early 60s. The Caterpillar - the seemingly beautiful melodies which Lucy drags behind her at all times, unique and infectious in style.

A vintage shop owner hailing from Manchester, Miss. Lucy's time as a songwriter seems to have come. A beautiful tapestry of amateur sounds mixed with her accomplished and cute music stylings, this is a perfect recipe for a sticky, sweet off-kilter indie pie which soon, with the emergence of others in a similar vein (Peter and The Wolf, Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong), everyone will want a slice of.
