The Pyramids - Hunch Your Body, Love Somebody (Domino)

With the recently passed festivities of Halloween and Guy Fawkes Night, this release could not have been more appropriately timed.
Bursting out like Mudhoney at their most incendiary, Pyramids are not only redolent of being stalked by some disfigured hitchhiker, but are also the perfect soundtrack for immolating effigies. However, unlike a B-movie Grindhouse creation, Hunch Your Body, Love Somebody is intent on jumping your bones rather than wearing you like a fleshy robe.
This side project from Archie Bronson Outfit members Mark Cleveland and Sam Windett was recorded during the lengthy sessions for ABO's Derdang Derdang LP, and, much like recent Bad Seeds offshoot Grinderman, their intentions were to write and record as swift and raw as possible.
Just like Grinderman, they may come on a little feral and more than likely foaming at the mouth, but it's advisable that you heed The Pyramids' advice and embrace the insanity.
