Hot Chip - One Pure Thought (EMI)

Back when they were little fish, Hot Chip were touted as a neo-Prince of sorts. I never saw it, but then it's a tough accolade for anyone to live up to. Especially when you don't sound anything like Prince.
Regardless, I defy anyone that says Hot Chip can't hold their own. Single number two from album number three Made In the Dark gets darker than the dancetastic 'Ready For the Floor' but retains that Hot Chip flavour seal. It's an unlikely choice of single though, kinda broody but a real floor filler of the antisocial type, you know; eyes closed, forgetting everyone else, dancing like one of those guys you might see in Vice's 'Don'ts', yet still delightfully friendly.
It's like being on Professor Burp's Bubble Works ride inside a massive club. And that guitar tone is awesome. So are the synth tones. You know what? Just go listen to it so you'll dance better when it comes on in the club.
