'Timehouse Blue', the debut single from London/Brighton-based band Flashguns, is a pop effort that peaks in its laziness.
A quick beat with a danceable flavour carries shy vocals that are seemingly negligent of the rest of the song. An urgent feeling is present, but never quite fully materializes for that push the song needs.
However, b-side 'Good Witch Bad Witch' compliments the lackadaisical attitude, but this time with nothing missing. Complete in its careless spirit, the long, moaning 'whoa's have the perfect combination of slack and despair, and are the concise presentation of what Flashguns have to offer.
