Dunno who's been pissing off the Maccabbes in the couple of years they've been away since chirpy, chimy debut Colour It In, but this comeback single is steeped in an unnerving, Nick Cave-ish goth-rock solemnity.
Orlando Weeks' adopts an Ian Curtis monotone to doomily deadpan that old primary school playground advice: "If you've got no kind words to say, you should say nothing more at all." Sounds pretty convincing, too.
