Kendall Meade's take on folk, could not be more different from her home town of New York City. On this single, with the pollen of love in the air, over lilting electric guitar, and a fireside shuffle-beat, she wryly reflects on half-remembered memories, braced by sweet melodies.
It's pretty as Spring-time rain, and for once, it is over far too soon, as indeed in her 25 minute-clocking album, Art Project. This is a faultless introduction to a standout voice in a genre so often lacking in unique voices.
