The distant sound of war drums fills the room. The energy from within the centre of the song comes rumbling from the heart as deep, gutsy vocals full of vitriol and tinged with the blues enter the ring.
'There Is NoLight' is a song that occasionally feels like an experiment and gradually grows into a welcome off-kilter, glorious chaos of sounds, from the subtle to the deep blood red. Bile spits escape from the mouth as vocals bite at the rise and fall of each beat. The guts and determination of Eighties Matchbox and the female wiles of PJ Harvey, this is a couple with a desperate passion in the music they make.
