Ra Ra Riot - Dying Is Fine (V2)

Neat little packages of guitar-plucked sound float over a background of strings, sliding slightly awkwardly into a punchy chorus. The central pillars of 'Dying Is Fine' are slightly more vibrant but do not save the song from the grey-ish, morose tinge it often comes across with.
There is nothing particularly groundbreaking here, and although Ra Ra Riot deliver a perfectly satisfactory track, it's just not designed to inspire. It seems a little confused, lacking any real meat on the bone.
