This year, Rockfeedback is delighted to be the official blog partner for the rather exciting iTunes Festival, taking place at London's Roundhouse every night in July. Over the course of the festival, we'll not be missing a night, delivering morning-after reports on everyone from Oasis and Bloc Party to Franz Ferdinand and Kasabian playing intimate sets to fans lucky enough to have won tickets to the shows. Within days, we'll also be bringing you exclusive live and interview footage with a selection of them too. Passion Pit and Franz Ferdinand unite on night six for perhaps the strongest line up yet.

Passion Pit

As hirsute and fond of plaid as their comparably lauded and alliteratively-monikered fellow young Yank bucks Fleet Foxes, Passion Pit's allure lies likewise in their classic-yet-uncontrived sonic brew. The fey, androgynous vocals of Michael Angelakos (uncannily reminiscent of a younger, svelter Rory McGrath) form the ideal foil to PP's union of sparkly, sugar-rush glitchpop a la Hot Chip and the senses-enveloping soundscapes of Animal Collective. And by way of 'Little Secrets' they're also in possession of one of 2009's most magnificent choruses.

Franz Ferdinand

Brazenly opening with 'Do You Want To'? Franz Ferdinand are on blistering form tonight, with Alex Kapranos' peacock strut, Brüno-style fringe and haughty repartee all present. Yet 'No You Girls' and even a suitably incendiary 'This Fire' fail to truly ignite the crowd. "You're a very polite audience...you need to get more f***ed up!" Kapranos commands before launching into 'Matinee'. And predictably enough, The Roundhouse soon flies off the handle for 'Take Me Out'.

Though it's only a little after 10.15pm when an encore containing a raw version of 'Walk Away' and boisterous rendition of 'Ulysses' brings the evening to a close, no one's feeling slighted.
