Their early home recordings were collectively entitled OK Calculator in honour of Radiohead's 1997 magnum opus, but these days it's fair to say that NYC's TV on the Radio don't need to be quite so deferential.
A properly eclectic powerhouse juggernaut capable of seemingly effortless transition from shoegaze-y slowburn to Bowie glam charges and back round to Prince-indebted funk, TVOTR are the consummate 21st century rock act. Singer Tunde Adebimpe's vocals are just as versatile, veering from punky growl to velvety croon.
The best moments come from the landmark 'Return to Cookie Mountain' LP- the apocalyptic Stooges snarl of 'Wolf Like Me' and the ominous 'Dirtywhirl'. To close proceedings, Brixton resounds to a thunderous version of breakthrough 'Staring at the Sun.' Yep, on this form, it's Thom and co. who need to be looking over their shoulders...
