This year, Rockfeedback is delighted to be the official blog partner for the rather exciting iTunes Festival, taking place at London’s Roundhouse every night in July. Over the course of the festival, we’ll not be missing a night, delivering morning-after reports on everyone from Oasis and Bloc Party to Franz Ferdinand and Kasabian playing intimate sets to fans lucky enough to have won tickets to the shows.

Calvin Harris has been doing a lot of shows lately; from countless festivals worldwide to party islands such as Ibiza, leading MTV to recently dub him “the greatest superstar ever”… probably a bit of a long shot on their part, but I have to admit that there must be approximately 2000 restless teenyboppers here who would adamantly concur.
Dishing out each of his mega super-hits with gusto and vigour, the “…born is the 80s” disco-pop electro-sex Scottish neo-legend seems a vivid and visceral character on stage, and between songs when he speaks one can hear a veritable SWOOOON from the desirous young things in the front row; lapping up every syllable of his thickly accented utterings with lolling tongues.
Calvin Harris veraciously operates a multitude of equipment with unbeknown consequence but assumed integrity to each track; his band provide a clamour of energy which defiles the ears and floods the muscles with lactic acid; the people can’t seem to stop moving to the beats.
The roof of The Roundhouse is blown off by the crowd’s reception of chart hits such as ‘Girls’ and ‘I’m Not Alone’; which result in a communal bouncing as if trying to pack the Earth into a holiday suitcase and head off on Harris Airways to a spa called Calvin Springs.
