There’s a lot of bigness to the fore of The Big Pink’s latest single.
‘Stop The World’ starts fuzzy then ticks along on the back of Under Pressurised bass before exploding into a huge, fizzing chorus that sounds like JAMC & My Bloody Valentine being buffeted about in a wind tunnel.
The fact that in the studio The Big Pink comprise of just 2 people, Robbie Furze & Milo Cordell, makes the big, finely crafted noise they make even more impressive.
B- Side ‘Crushed Water’ is modernised shoe gazing as a soundtrack to intelligent 70’s Sci-Fi, haunting & paranoid. Impressive, sizeable stuff.
