If you want a room to erupt with the youth of today singing along out of key with beer soaked hair and lustrous eyes wandering from each corner, stick this on. ‘Drunk Girls’ emits a sense of hedonism and pandemonium only by shouting the words ‘drunk girls!’ and ‘drunk boys!’. It’s designed for no other reason than to make you jump around like a d*ck head whilst you realize that your youthful energy is far from depleted.
I just hope it ends up being the summer anthem I want it to be. I can see it now. Festivals, bathing in the sun, ice cold beer (or alco pop if you swing that way – mine’s a beer, cheers), (drunk) girls in bikinis, (drunk) boys in shorts... Every summer I eagerly await my summer song. Last year, Calvin Harris, the year before it, Eric Prydz. This year, LCD. And we can all be thankful for that.
