Is Tropical tread a fine line with “South Pacific”. A song that threatens to veer into dangerous cheesy pop territory at every turn, thankfully, it eventually falls just on the right side of credibility.
From the very off this sounds like you might have heard all the elements somewhere before, but with a synth line as catchy as the one found here, and the sheer innocence of the lyrics, anything other than enjoyment becomes a bit of a chore.
Even when the mood takes a slightly darker turn towards the end, your overriding memory of it will be of a thoroughly jolly, summery tune – just in time for the cruel, uncompromising grasp of winter to take hold of us all.
