This track forms part of a benefit vinyl, with the profits going towards Save Our Gulf, supporting those affected by the BP oil spill, and the appropriately bizarre (but no doubt deserving) cause of The Turtle Hospital, a hospital for turtles...
The blunt title of BPB’s latest offering is part of the charm of the song, which combines the innocence of his rough around the edges Americana and sweet female backing vocals with lyrics that are far from holy, and that match the bluntness of the song’s title. Were the song not by BPB there would be little to get excited about, but context is everything, and given its creator, and the good causes it represents, it’s a winner.
