TEETH! – Care Bear (Moshi Moshi)
3/5
By: Josh Daniel

Constructed as some kind of cross-Atlantic hybrid of aggressive elctro, 3-piece TEETH! release new single ‘Care Bear’ on an unsuspecting UK audience - unsuspecting that is, if you've been absent from Dalston for the last few years where they've supposedly created quite a stir, living in squats, playing raucous gigs and leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. Oh, and appearing on BBC 6Music.
'Care Bear' talks of being forgetful, visiting a friend’s house, leaving all the lights on and riding away on a stolen bike. This may appear relatively mundane but the screamed delivery, live drums, schizophrenic laptop synth cries and uncompromising, incongruous guitar stabs manage to create an enjoyable headache of noise, a psychedelic act raised on wi-fi and warehouse raves where there aren't any rules - for that, we should be thankful.
Watchout for the 'Dreamtrak Diamond Dub' remix, which elongates the despairing cries but adds a standard DFA bassline and somehow makes a simplistic banger out of the puzzle that went before.
