Woman’s Hour – Jenni (Dirty Bingo)
4/5
By: Stan Morgan

Woman’s Hour are a four piece from somewhere called Kendall who have moved down to the promised land of London to help kick start their careers in music, with their latest showing being this up-beat number.
The quartet meld together a host of in-fashion components, including African-inspired guitar work, sparse production and smoky female vocals, but manage to avoid the final result sounding contrived or over-worked (surprising seeing as the band have supposedly spent months mixing the track to get it to their liking).
The track isn’t likely to make you feel warm and cosy for the forthcoming winter, but with its poppy hooks and laid-back groove it’s not going to make you plummet into a spiral of depression either, which is always a bonus. The band are still in their formative stage (this is only their third release on their Soundcloud page) but going by this track there is much more good stuff to come.
