Dark in the fathomless depths of multinational monster Warner HQ there lives a man who has, since time immemorial, spent his days in the archives compiling LPs of the least well-known songs from their artists; some you will have heard of (Ben Kweller, The Flaming Lips, EmmyLou Harris?), others you won't have (Cibo Matto).
The common theme underpinning this conglomerate is the laid-back, jazzy, and exuberant nature of the music and it is an intriguing listen if you are a super-fan of Warner's catalogue, or if you just fancy stumbling across something 'new'.
Should you ever want to meet this man, he's called the Work Experience Kid; he's kept in the basement in between Bette Midler and Randy Travis.
