Appearing as part of Nomad and Qu Junktions' peculiar but brilliant A Ritual For Elephant and Castle evening, Swedish duo Wildbirds & Peacedrums took not to the stage but to the floor of the Coronet in south London for a unique performance in which drummer Andreas Werliin was joined by an additional twenty percussionists acting as backing to the lone, incredible voice of Mariam Wallentin. Here, in a Rockfeedback special, we present to you both an interview with one of alternative rock’s most fascinating couples, and the one off set in its entirety.

In 2009, Rockfeedback were invited to take part in documenting the work of London-based rock band (of sorts), Hyrst. An entire set was filmed live and in one take at Cholmeley Boys Club in Dalston, marking the first time the band had committed anything to record. The result is a piece that is as strange as it is serene – often both, concurrently.

Part two of Rockfeedback’s End of the Road special has us back in the thick of the Dorset countryside, documenting the sights and sounds of Bob Lind performing with Jarvis Cocker and Richard Hawley, a headline set from Fleet Foxes, Brakes, Vetiver, Dent May and his Magnificent Ukulele, J. Tillman, Herman Dune, Iain Archer, Loney Dear, Quack Quack, William Elliot Whitmore, The Travelling Band, Laura Gibson and blues legend T-Model Ford, who is the only convicted murderer Rockfeedback have ever interviewed. Thus far.

End of the Road is unique. It has its own ale. Peacocks roam the grounds. A man dressed in an all in one gold jumpsuit and space helmet can play blues guitar to an enraptured crowd of thousands. And this is only Part 1.

The inaugural Concrete and Glass event featured performances from the likes of dirty-city pop act Micachu, a dark, heavily visual TV on the Radio gig, and an early, exciting performance from Little Boots. This sits alongside some of the most innovative and engaging displays of visual and sonic art, all in Shoreditch, East London, an area where the underside of the city meets the shiny, veneered, capitalised City. If this excites you, head down to the new East London line and check it out, it's on all this week.
TV on the Radio // Bass Clef // Ludovico Einaudi // Errors // Holy Ghost Revival // Kid Harpoon // Little Boots // Micachu // The Oscillation // Kimmo Pohjonen // James Yuill

Criss-crossing the world of visual arts and audio performance while straddling the arch experimentalism of modern creativity, East London's 2008 Concrete and Glass festival was one of the most exciting and innovative crossover events of recent years. The festival is celebrating it's sophomore year, THIS WEEK so we thought we' show you a few moving images we captured at the last. If you like this, we suggest you head on down and see it all with your own peepers.

Hullo. It's the Camden crawl this weekend, so we're off to film lots of bands. Just like this. Watch this. Lots of bands. Too many bands. Oh goodness.

In this, the second part of our SXSW 2008 coverage, we have more Texan delights than you can shake a stick at, with Man-legend Kim Fowley talking as definitively as only a man of his stature can (and getting our name wrong. repeatedly), Frightened Rabbit talking tired boners, Two Gallants performing a close, personal set on location, These New Puritans in an incredible live set, a beautiful cover by Johnny Flynn and Laura Marling on the streets of Austin…Oh, and Ed Harcourt performing acoustic in a car before kissing our man Toby L. And that’s the least of it.

For our second ever trip out to SXSW we decided to push the already semi-submerged boat all the way out to sea, climb into it and dragged some very talented people along with us. The first part of our SXSW episode sees Jens Lekman talking candidly about the nature of lyrical storytelling, Seymour Stein spreading his wisdom, The Dodos playing a blinder, Lightspeed Champion and Fred Forse performing a cover of The Vines next to a bin, a man who can fold foil, and a guest appearance from an old friend. Oh, and a brilliant performance et interview with the the {sic} band of the then moment – Vampire Weekend.

Rockfeedback returns to the Underage Festival for the third year running, witnessing the likes of the Mystery Jets, Ladyhawke, the Horrors, Tinchy Stryder, Hadouken!, Good Shoes, The Whip, Rolo Tomassi, JME, Patrick Wolf and The Champman Family as they stir a bunch of tirelessly enthusiastic fourteen to eighteen year olds in to a veritable frenzy. Interviews, live sets, circle pits – we’ve got the lot.

"Couples wandered, soggy but happy, among the trees; the children's play area resounded with the tingling of rainwater on monkey bars; high-rises stood stark against the unchanging sky. However, walk on for about 5 minutes and you begin to hear noise - a distant throb at first, growing louder and higher-pitched with each step...." so said our youthful (15 years of age) reviewer all those years ago. If you're over 18 this is your only chance to see such brilliance. Observe.

What kind of mental imagery does the word 'Festival' inspire in you? Stale, overpriced beer? Overweight, hairy shirtless old rockers rubbing their sweaty pits on your shoulders? Three years ago Eat Your Own Ears man Tom Baker decided to eschew traditional festival alcohol-company-pandering and create London's first Under-18s only festival. And we were there to film it. Boom.

London’s Field Day Festival really came in to its own in its third year, and though the grin-and-bear-it attitude to the torrential rain had a charming Englishness to it, the line up was thrillingly cosmopolitan. We capture live and interview the likes of Malian kora mastermind Toumani Diabate, Swedish sisters First Aid Kit performing an exclusive acoustic duet with Fanfarlo, some mental punk jazz courtesy of Norway’s The Thing, Final Fantasy from over the pond, and headliners Mogwai, who we’re surprised to learn Rockfeedback TV had a hand in booking. Erm, what? Find out herein...
